Mari-Anne Johansen - Apr 20 1999 - 06.44 Hello!! In about 14 days I will get a pyrenner god, and I'm really looking forward to it. Thay are really marvellous animals. We already have one dog, but it's not pyreneer. Of course there may be some problems with 2 dogs (the one we have is 4 years old) but I think it will work quite alright!! :-) A big hug huf from a girl who is really happy and in a very good mood. I just LOVE dogs!!!
Tiberius Bowser Darling - Apr 20 1999 - 02.07 Sidney B.C. "Tibo" has been a part of our family for 2 weeks. He is so big we forget he is just a 9 week old puppy. I have always loved the breed from afar, now I can devote my energy to my own pyr.
pam stewart - Apr 19 1999 - 23.00 littlehocking ohio Iam glad to see so many pyrer lovers.Ihave a six month old female,Kota she loves me to no end.Very loyal to me.I have two milk goats she stays with during the day,at night she's mine. Only bad habit is chewing my stuff. Yesterday it was my toothbrush.I wouldn't trade her for anything.
Dolores Bertrand - Apr 19 1999 - 18.04 Yamhill OR What a pleasure to view comments from other Pyr owners and lovers. We have had three over the years. The first, Bear, was the most wonderful dog who succumbed to cancer at the age of 8. Our second was Maremma/Pyr and he was too dominant and had to go to a non-human environment--he needed to guard sheep. Now we have Chassi (about 3 years old) and she is a loving dog -- on her terms of course. We are usually able to convince her that she wants to do what we want her to do.
Nancy - Apr 19 1999 - 16.30 Phoenix Az I like to read this every couple of weeks, but for some reason, I am never able to pull it up directly. Is there a trick to it? My dog 'Bella' is now 4.5 months old and still growls when disciplined at times. I have been seeking info on training tactics in a dog newsgroup and have received many helpful ideas from all over the world, for instance, squirting juice from a plastic lemon in her mouth when she growls or half-heartedly snaps. Also, her full badger mask remains intact and is black and red brindly, black to the root is a fault, true? Her entire body has ticking, especially her legs. Does this mean a French background? What a challenge to have a puppy who can lick out of pans on the stove, and how dangerous!!! A weak, frail person could not handle these dogs as puppies! I am not complaining, but can you imagine if terriers got this big! How many of these dogs growl when disciplined? Does mine have a bad temperment or normal for Pyrs? Like I said, she has improved in the past month but still talks back, especially to my kids. We read the alpha dog articles and are following their advice. Unless being corrected, she is sweet and loving and playful. She stays very close off lead and is not at all wary of strangers. I know this will come later. We love getting dog email!
Pam Talon - Apr 19 1999 - 16.07 Milton NH We have a six month old Great Pyrenees that is the best Dog we have ever had. His name is Boswell Chy.
MELISSA MOORE - Apr 18 1999 - 22.03 WESTFIELD IN HAVEN'T LOOKED YET JUST SIGNING THE GUESTBOOK. BET IT'S INTERESTING.
Heather Kincannon - Apr 18 1999 - 13.48 Abilene Texas Okay, MOM!!!! You know you love Bailey!! In all reality she's a very good puppy, considering she IS only 12 weeks old!! Give her a break, and ME TOO!!! I don't think Larry's gonna get her, either!!
Jessica Kincannon - Apr 18 1999 - 11.23 Abilene Texas My daughter brought home a 6week old puppy as a gift for her boyfriend. His parents did not want it at their home(6 poodles already). She is to stay with us untill the end of May. Her name is Bailey and she is now 12weeks old. I love her to death and he may not get her. We have a horse and two donkeys, she is great with them and does not bark or jump at their feet. She feeds with me every day. She loves my two cats, but one will play with her and their coloring is about the same. It is fun to watch her jump and hop like a bunny. She is about 25 pounds now and very gentle. I also am having trouble with her wetting in the house. She is out alot but seems to wait until she comes in!!! She is full of life and curiosity and we are amased that she does not roam away from home. One problem she does not like to come when called, bribery is the answer. She loves to eat anything, but we are careful with her diet, being a growing puppy. Thanks for your site it was very informative.
lia moran - Apr 17 1999 - 15.52 beer-sheva we enjoyed your website. please send us one dog via e-mail!
Jerry,Debbie, and Matthew Gibson - Apr 16 1999 - 14.30 Columbia TN Rex has brought us many days of happiness. He is now 2yrs. old. We have had him since he was 6wks. old. The colder the weather the better he likes it. He craves attention. Chasing birds is his favorite passtime. He sleeps alot during the day but he stays awake at night guarding the house. Cookies are his favorite treat. If anyone is thinking about getting a Great Pyrenees,I can't think of a more loyal, playful, and extremely intelligent breed.
Mary Kitchell - Apr 16 1999 - 08.45 Brookston Indiana I have had my Liberty Lion (Libby) for 2 years and we are expecting our first litter in June. I can't wait to fill my house, yard, kennel, etc. with these beasts. My cup runneth over.
Anita Messenger - Apr 16 1999 - 04.18 Bismarck AR We have been breeding and using Pyrs for almost 20 years - dogs bearing our kennel name have become champions, parents of champions, obedience title holders, Hall of Fame. Without them we would have had a difficult time raising the registered dairy goats, cattle, sheep and reg. horses on our place. They have been invaluable working partners and cherished members of the family. We currently have 4 girls ranging in age from 3 to 9 years old: Liberty Mtn. Snow Gazelle, Liberty Mtn. Nite Baroness, Liberty Mtn. Moonlite Serenade and Liberty Mtn. Frosted Mist (oldest to youngest). Each is so unique: their intelligence and dignity are such a joy. We look forward to having them in our lives for many more years to come. We have been so blessed.
John Stone - Apr 16 1999 - 00.11 Nashville TN Just bought an eight week old pure pyrenees yesterday and she is wonderful. Tonight she and Shaq (our five year old pyr) have been playing together and they are both passed out on the floor as I type! Have a great day! http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Pier/4075/index.html
Scott and Shana Fowler - Apr 15 1999 - 11.45 Union City Tennessee We are the proud owner of a 5 month old purebred Pyr named Bailey. He is the second Great Pyrenees we have owned. He is very friendly and loves to play with our other dog, a black Lab.
Lynne Mattice - Apr 15 1999 - 11.16 Oak Park MI Proud mama of Chien and Sunshine
Ron Smith - Apr 14 1999 - 12.11 Gallatin TN I am in the process of buying a Great Pyrenees and was looking on the Internet for more info. We have just purchased 2 Milk Goats and are looking for a dog to protect them from the Cayotes!
Amy Byard - Apr 13 1999 - 22.46 New Martinsville West Virginia I enjoyed your page a great deal it brought back alot of memories for me. My Great Pyrenees passed away December 27,1998. He was a wonderful companion. He was so wonderful with my newborn son ,I never thought a large dog would be so gentle with a child. My dogs name was Bear and it fit him perfect. He became a member of my family, it is odd how a dog can be like one of your own children. Alot of people dont uderstand how a dog can be so charished i guess they never had a dog like my Bear. I will always carry him in my heart and in my memories for he will always be my beloved Bear....
April Stead - Apr 12 1999 - 00.25 Mill City Oregon I just got my Great Pyrenees today. So far, he is taking a liking to me. He's three months old on April 14. (I am 12 years old April 27!) At first I didn't know if I'd like that kind of dog, but I love him already! Just today, we fell asleep together on the lawn. Long live the Pyrs!
Karley Obrecht - Apr 11 1999 - 22.43 Fortville Indiana Hi, I have one of these gentle giants and am amazed at their character and strength. Patsy (Cline) - my dog (GP) is recovering from being hit from a snow plow. Broke her pelvic bone and both leg's. A lot of stainless steel went into her, I hope she doesn't walk by a big magnet! I love this animal like I have no other! She has saved my family many times from harm and I respect her for her bravery. She is NOBLE! and worth the $2000.00 for two surgerie's. Live long my snow bear!!!
Terry Cowan - Apr 10 1999 - 20.12 Hillsboro TN I was looking for information an the Great Pyrenees and found this site. It's a great site and I enjoyed reading the comments. They were very informative.
kathleen Marshall - Apr 10 1999 - 19.37 Bunker Hill Il I have two Pyr father and son. They are both working dogs. I also have dairy goats. I enjoy the dogs very much.
Ken Matherson - Apr 10 1999 - 16.44 Tuscaloosa AL I have had Nemo and Nanna Klomsky under my care now for the last 4 years and after owning many animals in my life, I must say these are the most rewarding. They have nothing but love and attention to me and are the ultimate protection for my home and family. I simply let one in for the night and leave the doors unlocked. I have found that I will probably not breed anymore though as this breed is neither known or understood in the conservative south. I hear that they will be hot...no more than anyone else I say. I hear that long hair is hard to maintain,,,don't shampoo them....brush them...many closed minds. It takes special people to appreciate the attributes of the world's greatest breed....Long live the Pyrs....
Darcie Deaville - Apr 10 1999 - 01.02 Austin Tx I found my great pyrenees at a shelter in Austin, when she was about 6 months old. She is now about a year old. She's fantastic! I'm not sure if she is purebred, but other that my curiosity it doesn't matter.I would love to talk to others in very hot climates, as well as those who have them as pets, rather thaan working dogs. I want to keep her happy. It seems her favorite game is "keep away", and as long as I play with her, she will come obediently when called.
Blake Freeman - Apr 9 1999 - 17.28 Plano Texas I love the Great Pyrenees. They are nice.
Sherry Alpert - Apr 9 1999 - 15.43 Oklahoma City Oklahoma We are looking for a Pyr puppy to raise for Breeding and show and of course for love. We are also raising alpacas. Please send pedigree and price list to email address. Thank you Love the site. Please post. Sherry
Mary Trudell - Apr 9 1999 - 05.14 Inchelium WA Just bought a little girl, her name is Sammy and she is beautiful. Every day she is taken out to the sheep and lambs so they can get accustom to each other, so far so good. But those wiggly little tails on the lambs are just so tempting.
DENA - Apr 8 1999 - 19.30 CHETWYND BC HERE I AM SIGNING IN. JUST CHECKING UP ON THE BREED AND THIS IS THE ONLY OPTION THE SEARCH ENGINE GAVE ME FOR PYRENEES. I AM LOOKING INTO GETTING A DOG. I JUST PHONED A MAN ABOUT A BOXER CROSS AND ASKED HIM WHAT THE CROSS WAS, HE SAID GREAT PYRENEES. SO I THOUGHT I'D LOOK THEM UP AND SEE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE AND WHAT THEIR TEMPERMENT WAS LIKE. I LIKE BOXERS BECAUSE OF THEIR LOOK AND TEMPERMENT. I HAVE A YOUNG CHILD AND TEMP. IS THE FIRST THING I'M LOOKING AT.
MOJO REICHARD - Apr 8 1999 - 12.02 SANFORD FL MOJO CAN NO LONGER RESIDE AT MY RESIDENCE DUE TO VOLUSIA COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL (IN DELAND FLORIDA) SAYING "HE WAS VICIOUS? HE NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED" I WILL NOT COMPLY WITH THEIR DEMANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP.
Loren M. - Apr 7 1999 - 21.53 Cheshire CT wE'VE HAD OUR HEIDI FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS NOW AND SHE IS THE CENTER OF OUR UNIVERSE! sHE IS EXTREMELY LOVABLE AND VERY SMART. oUR DAY STARTS WITH OUR BIG WHITE ALARM CLOCK PATIENTLY WAITING AT THE FOOT OF OUR BED FOR US TO ALLOW HER TO COME UP AND SAY GOOD MORNING. tHIS IS USUALLY FOLLOWED BY A "TUMMY RUB" AND THEN DOWNSATIRS TO RUN AROUND OUTSIDE AND BARK AT ALL THE MORNING ACTIVITES. SHE STAYS IN WHILE WE HEAD IN AND OUT AND IS READY FOR DINNER WHEN WE SIT DOWN TO EAT AT NIGHT AND THEN HER EVENING "W-A-L-K" (can't say it! she knows it!) HER EVENING IS USUALLY SPENT WITH US AND WHATEVER ROOM WE'RE IN, ALMOST ALWAYS RIGHT BY OUR FEET. THE ONE THING ABOUT HEIDI THAT SHE HAS ALWAYS DONE, AND CONTIUES TO CRACK US AND EVERYONE WE KKNOW UP, IS THAT SHE RETIRES EACH EVENING TO SLEEP, ON HER OWN, AND CURLS UP IN HER FAVORITE SPOT....OUR BATHTUB!!!!
Susan Fuller - Apr 7 1999 - 09.02 Meadville PA I liked your page . We got our pyr in January. His name is Edison. He is now 6 months old he already weighs 110 and is growing every day. Sometimes he looks bigger the next morning. We love him even though when I tell him not to do somthing he argues with me. He talks more than any dog I have ever seen. We just put up 200 ft of fence he had a enclosure but he needed to run faster than I could. He loves being in the house too. if we are home he thinks he has to follow us around. when someone comes to the door he woun't let me get to the door I have to move him because he thinks everyone comes in like friends. he did not understand you have to go open the door.Trying to move him out of the doorway would make a great funniest home video. We built a cage for him at night because he is so curious you can't baby proof 6 feet up. He complains at first but it is five feet long 3ft wide and forty five inches high. We could fit a large animal in it. we love him so much Pyr people are the best.
Scott Bright - Apr 7 1999 - 01.56 Folsom California Hello fellow Pyrenees owners. I really enjoyed reading all the guest book signings. I thought I would share a bit. We visit our local zoo, and they have two of these wonderfull creatures you wrote about. Well, we strolled by the zoo after it closed, and who do you think i saw. That's right. Two, Big dogs. They barked at us constantly. That is, until i learned their names. Now they don't bark at me at all. And I have fell in love with these guys. I hope they will let me in to visit them. Both are so much fun to watch. All the zoo animals were howling, and i got to here a Great Pyrenees howl. How sweet. I can't own one now, I have two cats and a loving chow who's name is Bud. http://www.airfoilweb.com/golfvision
Karen Tanguay - Apr 6 1999 - 16.00 Scarborough Maine We hve a 9 yr. old male German Shepherd named Brute and a 1 yr. old female Great Pyr named Abby. At present they each weigh in at 110 pounds.Abby loves to be out in the yard and when she comes in it seems like the entire outdoors comes in on her fur! We had an ice storm this Winter, and Abby was sitting calmly out in the yard as if it were a Spring day. When she came in her fur was literally ice and I had to towel dry her for about 15 minutes to get her fur thawed out! She is sweeit and precious, as is Brute. Dogs are the best people.

Richard Robbins - Apr 2 1999 - 22.28 Melville NY My boy Reno is 2 years old, abused by his former owner and dumped on the side of the road, but we were lucky to find each other. He is a sweet, gentle giant, loving everything, but especially his big brother, a Shep/Dobie mix named Yummie!
Michelle Stergen - Apr 2 1999 - 19.56 Wahshington MO I have a 3yr old pyr her name is shi and she is the most wonderful dog I have ever been in contact with. They are strong willed and strong minded but very lovealbe animals.
Adriana Carballo - Apr 1 1999 - 19.50 San Jose My adorable Pyr is a male named Kimba. I just got him when by chance his owner went to my Vet and asked to put him to sleep. This baby is 4 months old, he was separated from his mother when he was 1 month old because he was going to be for breeding. His life was basically being in a cage all day long and he didn't know what it was to be petted, cuddled or just baby talked. Since here in Costa Rica there are not many Pyrs the owners breed siblings. Sure Kimba is a pure bred but he has a defect on his hind legs due to his ex owners irresponsability of breeding siblings. I had 7 dogs all breeds even muts, well they all welcomed Kimba he came home. Today he is a happy, beautiful loved dog, he has learned how to wag his tail and just adores all his brothers and sisters. He is HUGE for a 4 Month old pup and his legs are getting better every day. If you have any information on a deformity in these specific dogs hind legs, please send me all the information you can.

Andrew McLean - Mar 27 1999 - 22.35 Karitane Otago I have 2 Pyr's, a 3 year old male called Pablo and a 20 month old bitch called Serena. Both my dogs where bred by previous visitors to your site, Pablo by the Trents(Tarascon.trent@xtra.co.nz) and Serena by the Woods (Tarnhowse@xtra.co.nz) Your web site is a true inspiration and clearly fitting treatment of such a magnificent animal. My own experience has been of loyalty, companionship, faithfulness, fearlessness and overall joy. Comments by other visitors reminds me of how much we as humans can learn from our four legged friends. Animals that have the power to chose who they live with as they have the ability to leave at any given time. Don't let your dogs get bored as they have so much of themselves to reveal to you, I look forward to my journey through life with these dogs and their offspring as my companions.

He is a Brussels Griffon. A small dog. I love all size dogs, but this dog looks soooo great! I want one, but I know, since I'm only 12, I won't be able to take care of it myself or even if my family helps me. Also, I know my small dog and that big dog WONT get a long at ALL. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I really want this kind of dog and they are soooooo beautiful. Please email me back. Where do you live? Brittney |
Jean Wible - Mar 23 1999 - 16.59 Indianapolis Indiana Just got an eight week old Pyrs. He is adorable of course! Are they all stubborn? Some of the notes I have read from others are a little discouraging. He hates his 'cage' and is reluctant to learn housebreaking. We solved the barking, crying, whining at night by not caging him and letting him sleep in our room (keeping an ear open and our fingers crossed for our carpet!) Any suggestions? In spite of everything, he is wonderful!

Stephanie Johnson - Mar 20 1999 - 13.59 Haverhill Iowa My pyr is the best! He's such a gentle giant. He keeps my kitties warm when it's cold outside!
Clayton Goeglein - Mar 20 1999 - 02.39 Phoenix Az I have a Great Pyrenee Puppy and I am wondering how well they do in the heat. My puppy was much less furry than her brothers. I have heard that polar bears are actually better equipped to withstand temperature extremes because of their fat and fur. She will always have access to air conditioning through the doggy door. I especially enjoy looking at pictures of other Great Pyrs.

Nancy - Mar 17 1999 - 16.12 Phoenix Arizona Hi. I have a new puppy, my first Great Pyrenees and she is 14 weeks old. Her name is Isabella, "Bella" for short. How quickly they put on the pounds! I am wondering if she will retain her full badger mask if it is still clearly defined at this age? All the pictures I have seen show them growing up with no mask except faint markings on the top of the head and ears. Do they ever retain a full mask? Also, I am getting different answers on the best age to spay. Is it better to wait until they are 6 months old or does it not matter? Please email me. Thank you.
Angie D. - Mar 17 1999 - 14.41 Jonesboro AR I just loved your webpage. I have a Great Pyrenees also named Abby. She is the greatest dog. I also used one of your Pyrenees pictures as a back ground for my computer. Please email me, i wrote you. thanks. Angie

Jill Slawson - Mar 16 1999 - 17.46 Bangor California Just visiting the website. Looking for a livestock guardian dog to protect my flock of hair sheep from predators. The Great Pyrenees was one of the three dogs considered. Have a nice day, and thanks. If you have any reputable breeders in California, I'd like to know how I can get in contact with them. Again I thank you j

Wendy Sims - Mar 16 1999 - 00.34 Emory Texas I recently was found by this huge white dog, which in research I've found to be a Great Pyrenees, that decided to make a home with us. She seems to be a wonder pet and I hope that in time we can find her true home or possibly keep her ourself. I wondered what the back ground was on these dogs and what it takes to own such a HUGE responsibility. Also we're about to be moving to D.C. and I wondered how these dogs would react to being in a small environment such as fences or houses? She really is a wonderful dog and we've already named her Sadie, that is if she doesn't already have a name, and hope she'll become the newest member of our family!

Chris Saito - Mar 15 1999 - 01.46 Nashville Tennessee I have a rescued Pyr, Olympia. She has Super long curly hair, and a tail that is never straight! She's 120 lbs of very dominant, very teritorial, attitude(she barks at the birds if they fly over our property). She was rescued from the pound. She's very loving to anyone who will pay any attention to her. She's so love-starved that it has been very easy to teach her "tricks". She has typical Pyr traits, such as barking, patroling, and stubborness (when she doesn't want to do something). I don't know what I would do without her. I think you absolutely have to be prepared to be a responsible Pyr owner. They are guard dogs and if you are under the impression that they are big slow gentle babies all the time, you will be disappointed. Speaking of the fifteen I have known, they are the most intelligent dogs around.
Courtney Jeffery - Mar 14 1999 - 18.27 OKC OK We have a new baby at our house, we just love him. This is our first Great Pyr. Previously we have had Malamutes. I don't know how we ever got along without our little toot! His name is still up in the air, we have a family of four and all of us have our own ideas about what to name him. Wish us luck!
Bobbie Menneg - Mar 14 1999 - 17.58 Lawrenceville GA Chloe is 1.5 years old and is a beautiful dog but has a goofey smile (she is always smiling). Loves to take off if the gate is left open - thinks it's a game. Also loves to dig holes in the backyard. I think she thinks she can dig her way under the fence!
Oscar Raffo - Mar 14 1999 - 17.29 Rochester New York My wife and I would like someone to help us find a 8-9 months old puppie. We have a large fenced yard and a Florida room connected to the fenced patio, ideal place to have a dog. If any one knows of a litter please contact us. Thank you very much
Bill Brynda - Mar 14 1999 - 10.04 New York Dogs full name id Muddy-Buddy-Burdock. He spends time with sheep or in house, yard, and though we have sheep, he tends to prefer the company of cows when socializing. Buddy lives up to his full name!
amy taylor - Mar 13 1999 - 22.15 Farmington IL I have one that is mixed with st. bernard he is really pretty dog about 3yrs old and a big spoiled baby...
Willy Smolka - Mar 13 1999 - 20.37 Calgary AB Our family recently lost our pet in December and we are currently exploring different breeds. I was hoping for more information on not only good characteristics of Pyrenees, but also some drawbacks of owning such a large dog!
LINDA HOGG - Mar 12 1999 - 20.15 EATON OHIO I HAVE A GREAT PYR. HIS NAME IS KERBY. HE IS ALMOST 1 1/2 YEARS OLD. HIS WORST HABIT IS DEMOLISHING THE NEWSPAPER, BUT FORTUNATELY WE ONLY GET ONE OR TWO LITTLE WEEKLY PAPERS. HE HAS BEEN KNOW TO STEAL A TOWEL OFF OUR CLOSEST NEIGHBORS LINE (1/2 MILE) AND YEAH, HE BARKS LOTS. I AM NUTS ABOUT HIM. MY HUSBAND AND SON THINK HE IS DUMB! (WHAT DO THEY KNOW) HE LEARNS FAST, AND HE REMEMBERS, BUT THEN IT IS ALMOST LIKE HE FIGURES ANOTHER WAY TO DO WHAT HE WANTS. HE CHASES MY CAR. HE HAS BEEN HIT TWICE, AND FEARING THE WORST, I DECIDED TO STOP HIM. I STARTED STOPPING THE CAR AND COMMANDING HIM TO GO BACK HOME. (WE LIVE BACK A LONG LANE.) HE OBEYED THE NEXT MORNING, AND DIDN'T COME OUT THE LANE FOR ONE WEEK. THEN HE FIGURED OUT HE COULD GO DOWN THE FIELD. THEN DOWN THE OTHER FIELD. THIS MORNING, (DAY 10) HE WENT DOWN YET ANOTHER FIELD, AND BINGO - TO THE END OF THE ROAD! HE ISN'T CHASING MY CAR, BUT IF I HAVE TO I WILL GET A SHOCK COLLAR. I DON'T WANT HIM HIT AGAIN. IF ANYONE HAS SUGGESTIONS, I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU. HE IS A TERIFFIC ANIMAL, AND I TRULY LOVE HIM. YEAH, HE SLOBBERS, BUT I CAN LIVE WITH THAT. THANKS FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS.
Nancy - Mar 10 1999 - 14.21 Phoenix az Hi! First pyr, born 12-5-98 female "Bella" and I have questions. 1. Does the badger mask always fade away in today's dogs? I see old pictures of adults with full face masks but never modern ones. Are they unpopular? Background: My dog's parents supposedly work guarding livestock in Winslow, Arizona and they say her grandparents were confirmation champions. They do not want to sell the papers. That is okay because I plan to have her spayed but my curiosity is bothering me now that I am reading more about them. Another question I have is whether one would worry about ferocious-sounding growling whenever my children try to pick her up. She does not snap, and allows me to pick her up. She is otherwise friendly, outgoing and fun and good with other pets and children. We have had her since she was 8 wks old and I turn her over and yell at her when she growls. Is this a terrible sign at her age or normal for grt pyrs? Thank you.
Amanda Fejes - Mar 9 1999 - 18.50 Check VA Last weekend we got Sadie, a five week old pyr puppy, and even though I always said we would never have a dog in the house, in the house she is, due to her tender age and the nasty weather. We have several goats, a Jersey cow and a calf, and hope Sadie will be a guardian dog when she isn't guarding the kids in the yard. Even Dad, who isn't sentimental or gushy, is fond of Sadie, and has been seen stooping over to pet her. He hasn't picked her up to cuddle her yet (he better hurry if he's going to) but we're hoping.

jeff cauthron - Mar 8 1999 - 20.57 augusta ga Hi my family and myself are new pyr owners, our pyr is 9.5 months old. At 8 months old he weighted 102 lbs and does not seem to be slowing down. Everything that we have read about how big they get says 125 lbs. We think that he will be that big before he reaches 11 months. Without seeing him we know that its impossible to say how big that he will get but do you have any guess's. Thank you for your time and we enjoyed your sight
